Slovakia climate and when to go

Summer is when most Slovaks take their vacations so it can be busy and expensive but the weather is good. Better alternatives would be May, June and September, which still have good weather and are less crowded. April and October are cooler months but cheaper as it's outside peak season. November to March can be rather cold and the lack of visitors can mean tourist attractions close.

According to the climate, for general tourist visits the best months to go to Slovakia are shown below in green, the amber months are okay, and the red months represent the worst months due to less favourable climate conditions.
